Eastdale Village, our new town center in Poughkeepsie, will truly be an example of “place making.” Located on busy State Highway 44 (Dutchess Turnpike), Eastdale Village will offer residents of the Mid-Hudson Valley a place to shop, dine, work, live and play with up to 120,000 square feet of new boutique retail, medical office, restaurant and general commercial space, and approximately 390 new residential units.
Here, young professionals will have the opportunity to create start-up businesses in an environment designed to encourage and foster entrepreneurialism. Along with the existing 500,000-square-foot Poughkeepsie Business Park adjacent to Eastdale Village, a goal will be to draw new companies, creating employment, and enhancing the success of the entire submarket. The synergy of these neighboring properties will add a new vitality to the walkable neighborhood of over 800 residents and a 20-plus acre natural park along Wappinger’s Creek. Eastdale Village will quickly become the destination of choice in the Mid-Hudson Valley.
Using Green Building and Energy Star guidelines, all buildings will be constructed with sustainability and conservation in mind, creating super-efficient structures.
The development of Eastdale Village is being spearheaded by Kirchhoff Properties, whose dedication to improving the quality of life in the Mid-Hudson Valley is long-standing and expansive. Over $15 million of private cash equity will be invested into Eastdale Village, and local banks will be used for the remaining funding needed to complete this multi-million-dollar project.
